Kumba Iron Ore Ltd is the holding company for a group that is active in the exploration, extraction, beneficiation, marketing, and shipping of iron ore in South Africa. \r\n\r\nThe company operates mainly through its subsidiary company, Sishen Iron Ore Company (Pty) Ltd. Two mines, namely Sishen Mine and Kolomela Mine both with 14 year Life of Mine, are currently in production. The group exports iron ore via the state-owned Saldanha Bay port to markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
